Writing and editing are to acts which cannot be considered separately. You cannot write a good paper without editing it, and you cannot edit a paper if you have not written it.

Of course, the writing goes the first. You get or choose a topic of your paper, and start working on it. Firstly, you plan it and collect the material which should help you to compose an excellent paper. After it, you set to write you paper. Step by step, you write each part of it, and link them, so that your paper would be integral.

And then comes the turn of the editing. You read what you have written, and correct what is wrong. Editing presupposes not correcting the mistakes only. You should also re-write the pieces which are weak, or which do not fit the paper’s manner.

There should be some pause between the writing and editing. You will edit your paper much better if you have some rest after finishing to write it. However, it is not acceptable to make a very big pause between the two acts. And, of course, you should never forget of editing the paper, as it will damage the quality of the whole writing.

So, we recommend you to regard the writing and editing as the integral acts, which cannot be separated. If you treat them in such a manner, you will never feel like omit one of them. And it is very important not to do it if you want to attain a brilliant result.
