How to perform a Writing Editing

The piece of writing cannot be considered to be complete until it is edited. So, if you have not performed a writing editing yet, you still have to do it in order to finish the work.

It may seem that the writing editing is very simple to perform. It is not how it feels indeed. The writing editing has to be performed according to a special scheme. And we are going to teach you to edit the written assignments.

To edit a piece of writing, the student has to complete the following stages:

  • To have some rest in order to relieve the brain of the work done.
  • To read the piece of writing slowly and attentively, and to extract the weak pieces.
  • The mistakes like grammar, or spelling, or structural can be corrected at once.
  • The pieces of writing which need consideration should be read once more.
  • Try to understand why the pieces of writing seem to be weak, and intent to rewrite them so that they would be better.
  • Repeat the revision once again in order to make sure that you have corrected everything. If you discover more mistakes and weak pieces of writing, repeat the entire procedure. If you cannot get rid of some mistakes, or you are not sure about the correctness of something, you had better consulted with a person who is more experienced than you are.

The nation “STUDENTS” is popular for its insouciance and love to entertainment. That is why to make a student be attentive always is not an easy thing.

When time comes to writing\editing\proofreading the academic writing papers, students become panic and even nervous. It is very difficult for them to concentrate on a certain assignment and follow it.

In order to force you to be attentive in writing\editing\proofreading your own works, I have made an attempt and made a simple guide, which will be helpful for you in such difficult period of time, as writing an academic paper.

This list of suggestions is not too complicated, so you can easily use it:

  1. Make a plan of your action, while writing your project. When you have a timetable, you feel a necessity to follow it and it is good for your work.
  2. Re-read your plan and fix the deadlines – it will help you to cope with time.
  3. Pay attention to gathering the information for your project. It is very important to have a reserve.
  4. Structure your work. When you present the gathered information in a certain order, the tutor can estimate your abilities: writing, thinking, presenting your ideas.
  5. Edit your writing. It is not enough to write your work. You should check each chapter. So, your attentiveness will be very important here.
  6. Do not hurry up! If you have enough time, you should take each step carefully in order not to be disappointed with the results.
